Pine Marten Lodge, nestled in the stunning landscape of Bend, Oregon, offers a unique dining experience combined with breathtaking views and a cozy atmosphere. Guests rave about the lodge's American cuisine, particularly highlighting the Sunset Dinner Buffet, which features perfectly cooked entrées – a standout being the salmon. The restaurant boasts a spacious deck ideal for enjoying both the sunset and the view of Broken Top mountain. However, diners should be mindful of the temperature drop as the sun sets; blankets are provided for added comfort. Customer reviews consistently praise the warm and attentive service, with special mentions for the delicious, nostalgic hot chocolate and the lodge's famed fries, often deemed the best on earth. While some drink offerings have had minor hiccups – like missing ingredients in cocktails – overall, the beverage selection, including a variety of wines and craft cocktails, delight guests. Families and couples alike find joy in both the skiing and the culinary delights of Pine Marten Lodge, making it a cherished destination for both locals and visitors. With its emphasis on flavorful food, exceptional views, and a welcoming atmosphere, Pine Marten Lodge promises memorable moments on every visit.

Went for the sunset dinner buffet. American cuisine night. Not disappointed. Food was good, view was great. Most tables have a window. Large deck for outside viewing, got a little crowded when the sky was turning orange. Need to know that when the sun goes down, it gets COLD. It was 99 degrees for the high in Bend, but the wind chill at the lodge must have been in the 40's. They loan you a blanket for the ride down the chair lift. Best time for seating would be about hour to hour and a half before sunset. Would definitely do this again.

After a day of zip lining down the mountain, my family cruises back up the lifts for a lovely experience at Pine Marten Lodge! From the lift ride up to the restaurant to the stunning views, everything was wonderful. We arrived a bit early to enjoy the view and have a cocktail. The bartenders seemed to be in training and as a bartender myself, I was a bit unimpressed by their drinks. I ordered my favorite drink, which happened to be the first on their cocktail menu: the Corpse Reviver No. 2. I was a bit confused by the drink when I tasted it. Something was missing. When I looked over their menu, they actually excluded one of the key ingredients. Huge mistake if it’s even listed that way on their menu. However, I tried several other drinks such as the Negroni Spritzer, a smokey mezcal drink, and the basil gimlet and was pleased. When we were seated, we got a table by the window with a breathtaking view of the mountains. Broken Top and some of the sisters towered along the horizon, backed by a beautiful sunset. Our server was attentive and checked on us regularly without making us feel rushed. The Sunset Dinner was a highlight, with each course being delicious. The standout for us was the entrees – the Salmon was perfectly cooked. And the deserts were lovely. Everything we ate was amazing. We’ll definitely be back!

My dad and I have come up here for years and years to satisfy our mid-ski day fry tradition. No kidding the best fries you’ll find on this earth are upstairs at Pine Marten lodge. The machine hot chocolate is also a must try on those cold days, it hasn’t changed since I was a kid and always spits out rich chocolatey heaven in a cup. Views are obviously spectacular, after a fun morning you can always count on coming in and warming up in the cozy atmosphere. This place is a hallmark of my childhood and I look forward to the many more fry-filled ski days to come

The street tacos are amazing. The service is super friendly. The other food choices look delicious as well. Tables have convenient racks for hanging your gear. The view is Bitchin'.

Lodge is open for limited seating. The coffee bar is open! You can use the restroom. You can sit and warm up. They aren't allowed to serve food, yet! Soon my friends we will be dining and laughing and sipping cold brews.
